Nestig’s first real foray into the land of licensing began with my boss emailing Huck Scarry and asking if he would be interested in a partnership. Much to the team’s delight, he said yes, and put us in touch with the folks at Penguin Random House who facilitated everything from then on. This partnership involved not just Nestig products in the shape and likeness of Richard Scarry’s characters, but also a thorough brand marketing plan surrounding the idea of “Busy Town” and falling into the Busy World of Richard Scarry.
